Corporate Overview

Founded in 1979, Clinical Computing was an early innovator of clinical databases that evolved into point of care clinical information systems.  Since that inception we have become an international organization delivering leading clinical solutions on a global basis.

Our customers:

Our organization is blessed with the largest customer base in the renal market, comprised of teaching hospitals, national providers, independent dialysis units, and hospital departments.  Clinical Computing has a legacy of success within each of these segments.  In addition, we are moving our organization into exciting new growth areas such as organ transplantation.

National providers

National providers have complex needs:

  • Unit level clinical care support, documentation and charge capture
  • Regional and network reporting
  • Corporate/enterprise reporting

We provide solutions that address each level of data management within the enterprise.  Having scalable solutions and extensive experience in installation and training positions us as the logical partner for this group of customers.

Independent clinics

Independent clinics require complete, turnkey solutions that provide the physician with the ability to manage patients on a daily basis and support the daily operations of clinic management.  The system must be stable, easy to learn, easy to install and easy to support.  Clinical Vision was first installed in North America at Independent Dialysis Foundation in Baltimore, Maryland.  For more information on this deployment, please click here.

Hospital departments

Not all hospitals are the same.  We recognize this and focus on delivering solutions that meet the complex needs of different types of providers.

Regional healthcare providers

Regional healthcare providers often focus on integrating care solutions throughout their enterprise.  They want to leverage existing systems and blend the technology solution to fit their deployment needs.

Teaching and university hospitals

University hospitals often have this same requirement, but due to extensive research and clinical trials being conducted, also require high end reporting tools and protocol management tools built into their clinical information systems.  Our customer list includes many of the top university and teaching facilities in North America and The United Kingdom.

Our operations:

Clinical Computing is an international organization that operates two main corporate facilities.  The principal company is in London, England.  The North American office is in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Clinical Computing is a publicly held company traded on the London stock exchange.  The holding company is Clinical Computing Plc.  The European organization is Clinical Computing UK Limited and the North American organization is Clinical Computing, Incorporated.

Operations between the offices are a balance of shared resources and dedicated resources as driven by market requirements.  Senior management is responsible for both organizations.  Development is a shared resource housed in both offices but managed out of the US office.  Operations are managed from the US but have market specific teams in each organization.  Sales and Marketing staff are dedicated by market.  By utilizing this structure, Clinical Computing is able to share resources where logical and dedicate personnel to meet specific market needs as well.
