Clinical Computing Education Services

A healthcare organization's users have healthcare operations as their primary goal, not learning software. Getting physicians, nurses and other staff in one room at one time to learn how to use an application can be challenging at best. You need education solutions that assist you in maximizing your software investment by decreasing the time from installation to benefits realization.

Our training is conducted at either our state-of-the-art training facilities or at your facility's training location. Our training staff is comprised of experienced nursing and technical professionals, allowing your staff to be educated by peers that have years of clinical informatics experience.

Our typical course breakdown includes the following and is modifiable to meet individual customer needs:

Technical Administration Training

Technical Administration Training provides instruction to those individuals selected to serve as Technical Administrators. These individuals will be responsible for maintaining the Clinical Vision™ database, the operating system on which Clinical Vision™ resides, and any interfaces where data is exchanged from and/or to Clinical Vision™. This training will last 1 day.

Application Administration Training

Application Administration Training provides instruction to those individuals selected to serve as Application Administrators.  This individual will be responsible for configuring and maintaining the Clinical Vision™ datasets (Master Tables and Pick Lists), building/customizing facility reports and Word templates.

Super-User Training

Super-User Training provides instruction to those individuals selected to serve as Super-Users (see definition).  These individuals will gain a full understanding of the application and become familiar with the various parts of the application as it pertains to each job task within the dialysis facility. These individuals will serve as educators, first line problem solvers and product champions.

Master Tables & Code Sets Profiling

Master Tables and Code Set Profiling is a Consultation Service provided by Clinical Computing Inc. personnel to assist the customer in reviewing and building customer-specific data for inclusion in the master tables and/or code-sets.  Master Tables contain data about users, staff, providers, and service codes.  Code sets (also referred to as pick lists) are groups of predefined acceptable text for data entry field.  These codes facilitate data entry and can also be used to track specific variables and/or events.

Report Building Training

Report building classes are geared at users tasked with extracting data out of Clinical Computing products.  There are classes geared towards basic report generation and modification and higher end classes geared at the generation of high-end reports.

End User Training

End-User Training involves all staff members who will be using Clinical Vision™.  It takes place at the client site and is normally conducted by the facility’s Super Users.  The facility may request the support of Clinical Computing’s Application Specialist when conducting the initial End-User training sessions.  Upon completing End-User Training, staff members will be prepared to practice their skills in a training environment. Proficiency and confidence in using the system is achieved only after repeated use.  Users should be given ample opportunity to practice their skills after the initial class.
